Cultural Arts
The Cultural Arts Division provides opportunities for people to participate in cultural arts activities throughout the community.
To find more things to do, visit the Evanston Arts Council's Evanstonartsbuzz Web site and check out the Cultural Arts Division and their friends at myspace.
Staff manages two of the City's most popular
summer festivals: the Ethnic Arts Festival and the Lakeshore Arts Festival. St
aff also coordinates the free Starlight Concert Series (see photo at right). Several very popular summer arts camps for youth and teens are held at the Noyes Cultural
Arts Center and at a local school.
The Cultural Arts Division supports Evanston Arts and Humanities Month, which is sponsored by the Evanston Arts Council and the Public Art Committee, and supported by the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency. Staff in this division also manage the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, which serves the community by providing lower cost studio, rehearsal, office and performance space to Evanston and area professional artists and arts organizations.
