ATT Lightspeed Project

ATT Lightspeed Project Presentation

VRAD cabinet installations adjacent to public property (parks, schools, parking lots) will be landscaped by the City. Completion of this work is scheduled for spring of 2009. Paul D'Agostino, Superintendent of Parks/Forestry 847-866-2912, is administering this program.

In addition City Staff will work with professional experts to provide and plant the plant material. The City will emphasize to the professional experts that the selection of the plant material be drought tolerant and low maintenance.  The City will make every effort to have the plant material carry a 1-year warranty. Since the City will be planting the screening concept selected by the owner, the owner will not need to submit a reimbursement request. The upkeep and maintenance will remain the responsibility of the resident.

The City staff will take the responsibility to create 2-3 concept plans (including plant varieties) over the winter months which will provide the permitted screening of the AT&T boxes. City Staff will provide these plans to the abutting property owner.  It will be the property owner’s responsibility to meet with neighbors to share the information if that becomes necessary.
