Bike the Ridge - Sunday October 4

Interesting event comning up in two weeks:  Bike the Ridge.  Ridge Avenue is closed from 8 AM to 1 PM on Sunday October 4 from Church to Howard to allow folks to enjoy a Sunday biking Ridge (The ride runs from 9am to noon).  See website for more info.  Event sponsored by the City of Evanston.

This great and even greater would be more bike lanes throughout Evanston and Skokie. A good start would be bike lanes on the streets that are designated as bike routes. Church Street all the way from Evanston through Skokie would be a good one. And wouldn't it be great if you could use the drive through teller at your local bank on your bicycle? Right now you will not be served if you pull up on your bike.
