Are You a Wireless Telecom Professional?

Posted by Wally Bobkiewicz on Nov 24, 2009 at 7:42 PM in Forestry and Recreation, General Announcements

The City is renegotiating the lease of cell site on City property.  We are trying to get the best deal and it was suggested at City Council last night that staff look for "professionals in the field" to help us out to get the most money for the site.  I do not have a budget to hire a consultant for this ($8 million deficit and all), so am looking for some free volunteer help from an Evanston resident or Friend of Evanston to make sure we are getting the best deal.  If you can help, drop me a note.

Unless we have someone volunteer with expertise specifically in the area of negotiating telecom leases, let's go ahead and hire the consultant we need.

Sometimes we have to spend money to make money.

Craig McClure's comments are sage. I, too, think it makes sense to hire a consultant to help generate revenues. This sounds like it requires specific expertise.
