Snow Plow Painting Contest

Posted by Wally Bobkiewicz on Nov 1, 2009 at 5:40 PM in Streets & Sanitation

OK, maybe its just because I have worked in California the last twenty years, but I think this is really neat:

The City is sponsoring a contest to judge the best painted snow plow blades.  This is the fourth year of the contest, with this year's theme: "Recycle Smart: Use Your Cart."  The blades are painted by children at area schools and are currently on display out front of the Civic Center.

You can read more about the contest and vote on the best painted blade here.

Loved the painted blades.

I'd like to see the City do this with the annual vehicle stickers. I'd love to see Evanston students compete to have their artwork on the stickers instead of having businesses or non-profits logos displayed.
