LED Christmas Tree Light Exchange a Success

The City received 70 strands of old Christmas tree lights from residents for recycling and traded out our entire allotment of 70 new strands of LED lights. All with an hour to spare before the Civic Center closes for the holiday. Mostly thanks to social networking sites for publicity.…

Evanston Takes Facebook By Storm

The City's Facebook page has reached over 1,000 (1,032 as of this writing) fans since being created in early October.  Our Public Information folks have decided we needed campaign to get 2,010 fans by January 1.  So check out our Facebook page:  www.facebook.com/CityofEvanston and become a fan. Mayor and Council Root on NU Football

Community Budget Workshop Marathon

CTA Purple Line Workshop

The Chicago Transit Authority is hosting an open house to discuss a Purple Line Vision Study Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Fleetwood Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster Street.  More info on the workshop can be found at the CTA website.
