City Welcomes Shani Davis on March 18

The City will be hosting a ceremony to welcome home Olympic Speed Skating Gold Medalist Shani Davis on Thursday March 18 at the Robert Crown Center.  Doors open at 6:30 PM with the event beginning at 7:00 PM.

A similar event four years ago in Davis' honor attracted over 1,000 people, so be there earlier for a good seat.

Is someone going to do a video interview while he's there, so we can get his support for the high-speed Internet connection Evanston would get if Google chooses our city?
