Library Falcons Named
The three baby falcons that hatched on top of the Evanston Public Library were examined and banded for tracking today by representatives from the Field Museum of Natural History during a short event at the Library. Energy Saving Resources for Residents and Businesses
This month marks the end of the year long ComEd Community Energy Challenge. The City of Evanston was selected as one of eleven communities in ComEd’s service territory to participate in their pilot project to reduce energy use community wide. Participating communities are competing for a $100,000 prize. Evanston Receives Assistance to Firefighters Grant

Today marks the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. The City of Evanston has a demonstrated commitment to environmental sustainability. On May 27, 2006, the City Council adopted a strategic plan that included a commitment to sustainable practices and infrastructure as key goals.
