Christmas Morning Fire - 1807, 1809, 1811 Laurel
Evanston Fire Department was called to a structure fire at 1800 hundred block of Laurel around 5 AM this morning. The fire impacted all homes and rear garages at 1807, 1809, 1811 Laurel. No one was home at any of the houses and it is unclear if any of the houses were vacant. One EFD Firefighter was taken to the hospital with trouble breathing. He is in good condition. Mayor Meets with County Board President Preckwinkle
Mayor Tisdahl met Saturday morning with new Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle in Evanston as part of a morning tour of the community hosted by County Commissioner Larry Suffredin. The Mayor raised several issues with Preckwinkle.
