A Day in Springfield Evanston Style
Over 75 Evanston residents and business leaders visited Springfield on Wednesday for the Second Annual Evanston Day in Springfield. The group was led by Mayor Tisdahl and included Aldermen Braithwaite, Burrus and Grover, board members and superintendents from Districts 65 and 202 as well as leaders from many of the city's non-profit organizations. I had the pleasure of joining Mayor Tisdahl and Aldermen Holmes. Wilson and Grover yesterday at the Illinois Supreme Court in Chicago to witness Lionel Jean-Baptiste's swearing in ceremony as a new Cook County Circuit Court Judge. Supreme Court Justice Charles Freeman presided at the ceremony which was attended by Judge Jean-Baptiste's extended family and friends. Sorry for fuzzy IPhone photo.…
