Library Social Media Efforts Recognized
The social media efforts of the Evanston Public Library were recently highlighted in a library industry blog, LibraryHotSpot. Included in the article was a fun video made by EPL promoting its E book lending. EPL is doing more and more innovative things that have been completely overshadowed by other Library community issues. Library Falcons Named
The three baby falcons that hatched on top of the Evanston Public Library were examined and banded for tracking today by representatives from the Field Museum of Natural History during a short event at the Library. The three falcons were also named: Lorraine, Hennen and Perkins. Lorraine Named in honor Lorraine H. Morton was Mayor of Evanston from 1993 to 2009. Morton was re-elected in 1997, 2001 and 2005.
