HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

Evanston prides itself upon its diverse housing stock, increasing property values, and growth in housing production in the past five years. Acting through the Planning Division, the City uses a variety of tools to help ensure the availability of affordably priced housing for lower income residents (click on link to form below) and to stimulate neighborhood revitalization.

Using federal and local funds, the City has provided financing for acquisition, new construction and/or rehabilitation of rental and owner-occupied housing for households under 80% of Area Median Income.
