This program provides the large scale emergency planning and coordination for the City.

Areas of responsibility include:

Emergency Plan currency
Round-the-clock emergency response in time of crisis
Quarterly reports to the State
Exercises in lieu of actual occurrences
Ongoing maintenance of accreditation required for Federal reimbursement of funds
Training for CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) members
Support for MRC (Medical Reserve Corps), in cooperation with the Department of Health and Human Services
Maintain and coordinate information for Evanston Radio AM 1650 WPXZ-497.

* Tornado sirens are tested on the first Tuesday of every month at 10 a.m.
