The Levy Senior Center was selected for a site visit during the 2007 Joint Conference of the National Council on Aging and the American Society on Aging. On
Wednesday, March 7, 2007, about 50 visitors toured the Levy Center, enjoyed lunch and heard a presentation on the Center's award-winning marketing strategy. As seen in the photo at right, Dennis Randall led one of the groups of visitors on a tour. Due to the snowfall, visitors admired the courtyard garden from the hallway.
The Association of Illinois Senior Centers gave its 2006 Visionary Program Award to the Levy Senior Center for its marketing strategy and its 2003 Visionary Program Award to the Levy Senior Center for its garden program for older citizens.The award is given annually to a single program exhibiting innovative ideas that raises the consciousness of senior centers and empowers older adults through independent living, lifelong learning and creative retirement.

The award was presented on December 8, 2006 at the 25th Annual Governor’s Conference on Aging at the Chicago Marriott.
