Levy Senior Center

 

The Levy Family donated a 22-passenger bus to shuttle members to and from the Center. The bus does not leave Evanston boundaries and it does not make door-to-door pick-ups or drop-offs.

Public Transportation

 

The Levy Senior Center is a designated RTA registration site to apply for your RTA Reduced Fare Card! The RTA Reduced Fare Card enables senior citizens who are within three weeks of their 65th birthday or older, qualified veterans, and qualified persons with disabilities to ride all RTA services at a reduced rate. Senior citizens must apply in person at a designated Senior Center (including the Levy Senior Center).

 

You must have a copy of one of the following types of identification: Driver's License, State of Illinois ID card, Alien Registration Card or Passport. You also need a wallet-sized color photo. The person in the photo cannot wear a hat, scarf or sunglasses. The CTA #97 bus stops right in front of the Levy Center. It runs between Westfield Old Orchard and Howard Street. The CTA #93 bus also stops right in front of the Levy Center. It runs from the Dodge/Emerson intersection to Howard Street.

 

The ADA Paratransit Service is for riders whose disability or health condition may prevent them from using a fixed route service such as buses and “L” trains. This is a shared, curb to curb ride. Please call (312) 681- 3098 for more information.

 

Subsidized Taxicab Program
This program provides low-cost transportation to qualifying seniors and mobility-impaired residents. Coupons cost $2.50 per trip and can be purchased through the City Collector’s office, the Levy Senior Center and the Evanston United Way.
