Park Rededications

Megowan Park was rededicated on Saturday, November 3. Recreation Board member Natalie Newberger, far left, filled in for Alderman Melissa A. Wynne, who was unable to attend due to a family emergency. Appreciative neighbors cut the ribbon.
The $304,103 construction expense was funded by general obligation (GO) bonds as part of the City’s capital improvement plan. Site amenities included
• children’s playground equipment, edging and surfacing
• benches and picnic tables
• landscaping • paving • lighting • fencing

Smith Park also was rededicated on Sat., Nov. 3. Alderman Lionel Jean-Baptiste helped local children cut the ribbon on the new playground equipment.
