TREE TRIMMING

Areas shown on the map are either currently in progress (marked in green) or planned for the coming year (marked in red).
Many factors may affect the progress of trimming crews, which may increase or decrease the amount of time it takes to complete a specific area. Storm clean up, diseased elm removals, tree planting, and snow removal operations are just some examples of tasks that may take a higher priority than our regular tree trimming and thereby affect our overall progress.
Trimming crews attempt to trim every tree on a given block before proceeding to the next block. However, during the summer months, crews do not trim elms or oaks due to increased disease susceptibility in these species. These trees may be skipped during this time of year, and a crew will return to trim these trees at the appropriate time.
This map will be updated three to four times per year as the crews progress through specific areas.
