Information and Requirements:

A Certificate of Insurance for General Liability of $1,000,000 naming the City of Evanston as additional insured is required of Contractors and businesses.

No dumpster is to be placed on the public right of way without first obtaining a permit from the City of Evanston.

Dumpster permits shall be posted in a conspicuous place at or near the dumpster location.

All dumpsters are required to have reflective tape strips on the corners, or lighted barricades to alert approaching traffic of the obstruction.

Dumpsters placed on city right-of-way must be located within a legal parking space or other approved space.

Allow three working days for approval of dumpsters wider than 6 ft. or for placement in an alley.

Permits are revocable, as the public safety and convenience prevail over any private use of public space.
