Trick-or-Treat hours
Mayor Lorraine H. Morton has designated official Trick-or-Treating hours for the City of Evanston on Halloween, Oct. 31, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Spooky Daze at Fleetwood
On Halloween night, the Fleetwood-Jourdain Center, 1655 Foster, hosts its annual Halloween Party for youth age 4-12. This free drop-in party begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, and continues through 8:30 p.m. with a magic show, clowns, exotic balloons, face painting and refreshments. Parties at Robert Crown
On Oct. 31, all ages can join in the Halloween Skating Party at the Robert Crown Center, 1701 Main St. The first 50 people who come in costume will skate for free from 7 to 9 p.m. Skate rental is free, too. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to 50 participants. For more details, call 847-448-8258.
Halloween Film @ your Library
Scary Friday Films continues Friday, Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. with “Rosemary’s Baby” (136 min, 1968, rated R) Newlyweds Rosemary and Guy are expecting their first child. Rosemary dreams that a demonic beast rapes her, and she is convinced that she is carrying Satan’s child. Films are shown in the community meeting room at the Main Library, 1703 Orrington. Free.
