Northwestern University Football and the City of Evanston are teaming up to “Paint Evanston Purple!” and we want your help!
NOTE: The Pep Rally has been canceled due to recent events regarding a missing NU student. A vigil will be held at 10 p.m. this evening at the "Rock" near the NU Arch.
The City of Evanston and Northwestern University announce the 3rd annual Paint Evanston Purple! The PEP Rally (Paint Evanston Purple Rally) will be held on September 27 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Clock Tower (near Clark Street and Orrington Avenue). Special guests including Mayor Tisdahl and Coach Fitzgerald, the players and cheerleaders along with live marching bands will all be there! There will be giveaways and selected businesses will offer promotions to those wearing purple. So come and celebrate!
On Saturday, September 29, Northwestern University and the City of Evanston are teaming up to host Evanston Day at Ryan Field for the Big Ten Opener as the NU Wildcats take on the Indiana Hoosiers. The kickoff time is 11:00am.
Discounted tickets will be available for Evanston residents, so please help us fill the stadium with a sea of purple and come out to cheer for the Wildcats!

There are special ticket offers for Evanston residents for discounted seats, pre-game events featuring Evanston organizations and during-game salutes to people who make Evanston a special place. Additionally, we are hosting a citywide pep rally on the Thursday evening before the game at the Clock Tower near Clark St.

Across Evanston, businesses will offer promotions to game attendees. Fill out this form to provide information on the promotion your business will offer customers on Pep Rally Day - Thursday, September 27 and Game Day - Saturday, September 29. Information on promotions will be posted on the City of Evanston's website and distributed on flyers at the Pep Rally and at Ryan Field on game day.
