Medical Reserve Corps
The first response to any disaster is a local response.
The City of Evanston Health and Human Services Department and Office of Emergency Preparedness have teamed up to create a citywide Medical Reserve Corps Program (MRC).
The mission of the MRC is to establish teams of local volunteer medical and public health professionals that can contribute their skills and expertise throughout the year by supporting local public health initiatives such as immunization and prevention activities as well as during times of community need. When an emergency community need occurs, MRC volunteers will work in coordination with existing local emergency response programs.
