Environment Board Bylaws

PURPOSE: To investigate all activities that affect the environment: air pollution, litter, water, noise pollution, solid waste pollution, overpopulation and pesticides. To develop policy recommendations on environmental issues for submission to the City Council. (36-0-71) (23-0-93).

# OF MEMBERS: Thirteen (13) members appointed by the Mayor.

QUALIFICATIONS: Persons shall be appointed with training and/or experience in areas such as environmental law, education, pollution control, engineering, science and public health.

TERM: Four (4) year terms. Members may serve no more than two (2) terms.

MEETING DATE: 2nd Thursday of each month, 7:00 p.m.
PLACE: Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., Room 2200
