FIREFIGHTER'S PENSION BOARD

PURPOSE: To provide and distribute funds for pension of firefighters and widows and minor children of deceased firefighters. (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 108 1/2. Sec. 4-121).

#  OF MEMBERS: Five (5) members. Two (2) members shall be appinted by the mayor, or present of the board of trustees of the municipality or fire protection district involved.

QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) members of the board shall be active participants of the pension fund who are elected from the active participants of the fund. One (1)member of the board shall be a person who is retired under the Firemen's Pension Fund Act of 1919.

TERM: Four (4) year terms. Members may serve no more than two (2) terms.

MEETING DATE: Quarterly.
PLACE: Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Avenue
