4th Annual Youth Sumit May 20
The Evanston Youth Council is holding the 4th Annual Evanston Youth Summit. This year’s Summit will be held on Thursday May 20th at Evanston Township High School in Beardsley Cafeteria from 4pm-7pm.
This year's theme is - "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has" - Margaret Mead.
The Youth Council will take the ideas from the summit and develop creative ways to make positive changes and create more opportunities for Evanston teens. During the Youth Summit, there will also be community asset mapping which is the process of intentionally identifying human, material, financial, entrepreneurial and other resources in a community. It is an important process for community projects of all kinds.
The Youth Summit is sponsored by a donation from the Township of Evanston along with support from Evanston Township High School and the Youth Organizations Umbrella.
