Community Alert - Juvenile female attacked by male adult offender

On 5-18-10, at approximately 7:45 a.m. a juvenile female was walking to school in the 1100 Blk. of Clark St., Evanston, Illinois, when she was accosted from behind. According to the victim the offender grabbed her and then dragged her into some nearby bushes. Once concealed in the shrubbery, the offender attempted to remove the victim’s pants. The juvenile victim fought back and a physical confrontation then ensued, which enabled the victim to break away from the offender and flee the area on foot. The victim then returned to a relative’s house and police were notified. Police responded to the area, but could not locate the offender.

A subsequent police interview with the victim revealed that she recognized the offender from previous encounters. Investigators learned that the victim had casual conversations with the offender at the Davis St. elevated train stop, on previous days on her way to school.

Offender Description:

Male, Black, 40-45 year of age
5’6” to 5’8” – medium build
Mustache – light complexion
Brown eyes, discoloration- possible bruising under right eye
Voice – pleasant seductive tone of voice
Clothing
Black baseball cap
Blue & yellow sweater
Black gym shoes
