Nicor Rebates for Home & Business
Nicor recently launched several new programs for residents and businesses to help make energy efficiency upgrades more affordable.
Residential customers are eligible for rebates of up to $400 on high-efficiency water heaters, furnaces and boilers purchased between May 1, 2010 and May 31, 2011. These products are also eligible for federal tax credits if the purchases are made in 2010.
Business Customer Rebate Program
Nicor commercial customers on Nicor’s rates 4 and 74 are eligible for rebates on high-efficiency water heaters, furnaces, boilers and tune-ups, pre-rinse sprayers and steam traps purchased between May 1, 2010 and May 31, 2011. Landlords are also eligible for the rebates.
Nicor Existing Home Retrofit Program
Nicor’s program helps select homeowners reduce their natural gas consumption by analyzing their energy use, recommending weatherization measures, and facilitating installation. Participants will receive financial rebates for installing recommended measures. For more information about this program, please call 877/886-4239.
Nicor Low-to-Moderate Income Program
Nicor offers home weatherization and furnace upgrades to customers with household incomes between 200 and 300 percent of the federal poverty guidelines, as identified by Community Action Agencies.
