Resident Budget Input Sessions to Begin
The Evanston City Council will begin its annual budget process this year on September 20 with a City Council Goal Setting Session.
Similar to last year, City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz will seek residential input in mid and late September prior to the release of the draft Fiscal Year 2011 budget to the City Council on October 8. All budget related documents will be posted on the City’s web site at: www.cityofevanston.org/budget.
The purpose of these sessions will be to gather ideas and suggestions regarding the anticipated plan and to continue to foster a transparent budget process.
City Council budget discussions and Public Hearings on the draft budget will occur in October and November, with the final budget adoption anticipated just before Thanksgiving.
