Civic Center Closed Nov. 13 for Electrical and Plumbing Repairs
The Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., will be closed all day on Saturday, November 13, 2010 for the purpose of
electrical and plumbing repairs. No voice mail services will be available for all City phone lines during these repairs.
The non-emergency line for the Police Department will not be affected and is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Automated menu options will not work in order to be transferred to another number within the department; residents will need to dial "0" to reach a live operator.
Electrical service will be shutdown at the Civic Center in order to ground/bond all five of the building's transformers and the building itself. Additionally, a water leak on the ground level will be repaired.
There were no meetings scheduled for this day at the Civic Center.
