PeaceAble Cities.jpgThe Evanston Public Library and Peaceable Cities Evanston invite Evanston teens and adults to imagine how to create together a completely peaceable city by 2020, in which all relationships in families schools, businesses and neighborhoods are rooted in respect and kindness. Make it a complete peace day! Come back at 2:00 pm for the 2011 Peace on Earth Film Festival Preview, a series of short films andPeace on Earth Film Fest.jpg discussions. Saturday, November 20, 2- 5 p.m., Community Meeting Room, Main Library.

Powerful, insightful, and inspiring, the selected short films shine a light on our world; and in their own way fulfill the mission of POEFF, to raise awareness of peace, nonviolence, social justice and an eco-balanced world. A facilitated discussion will follow each film.All films are appropriate for ages 11 and up.

The 2011 POEFF is hosted by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, Friday, February 25 to Sunday, February 27 at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E Washington and is a project of Transcendence Global Media nfp.
