Mayor Tisdahl Speaks on Public Safety Pension Reform at State Capital Press Conference
Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl traveled to Springfield Tuesday to speak at a noontime press conference of Illinois Mayors urging the
General Assembly to enact real pension reform for police and fire pensions. The General Assembly is set to begin consideration of a package of reforms tomorrow.

Mayor Tisdahl also met with State Senator Jeff Schoenberg and State Representative Robyn Gabel to request their continued support for a pension reform bill during the veto session. The Mayor will attend the hearing in the House Wednesday morning on the proposed reform legislation before returning to Evanston Wednesday afternoon.
