Energy Saving Tips of the Week

Thumbnail image for check mark.jpgTurn off your desktop computer and monitor for two additional hours per day to cut your annual electricity use by 1.5 percent.

Unplug your “phantom load” by unplugging unused appliances, electronics and chargers. This small step can save up to 5-6 percent on your annual electricity use.

When replacing or installing appliances, look for the ENERGY STAR label. Replacing an old refrigerator with a new unit could save you up to 7 percent on your annual electricity use.
