Levy Center Accreditation Celebration, Feb 18
In celebration of the Levy Senior Center's achievement of national accreditation, there will be a reception and concert at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 18 at the Levy Center, 300 Dodge Ave. Refreshments will be served, and admission is free and open to the public.
The National Council on Aging's National Institute of Senior Centers offers the nation's only National Senior Center Accreditation Program. Accreditation provides official recognition that a senior center has met the nine standards of operations and is the official mark of excellence. There are approximately 11,000 senior centers nationwide; only 197 of them are accredited.
