Volunteer Evanston Website Launched
Want to volunteer in Evanston? Visit the newly developed VOLUNTEER EVANSTON PROGRAM website. The Volunteer Evanston Program strives to promote and support community services and programs through volunteerism community-wide. It is our mission to connect volunteers to opportunities in Evanston and assist local organizations that serve the Evanston community.
This program is part of a collaborative effort with the City of Evanston, Northwestern University, Evanston Community Foundation, School District 202 and School District 65.
The website will connect volunteers to a wide array of volunteer opportunities and organizations in Evanston. Volunteers will have the ability to filter opportunities by interests, organizations, availability, and location. Also, volunteer coordinators can be contacted through the website by e-mail.
Registered volunteers will have the capability to create a volunteer profile, keep track of all volunteer assignments, input volunteer hours, and assist in finding new volunteer opportunities. Each month the website will "Spotlight" a volunteer, opportunity and organization that help make a difference in our community.
