Evanston based Citizens’ Greener Evanston (CGE), in partnership with the City of Evanston and ISEN (Initiative for Sustainability and Energy at Northwestern), is pleased to announce that it is sponsoring a juried environmental themed photography contest: People, Planet and Harmony.

The winning photographs will be displayed at the 40th Evanston Custer Fair Eco-Village on June 18 and 19. The Fair has been voted Best Art Fair by North Shore Magazine and attracts over 70,000 people a year. The theme Green Living will be featured in the Eco-Village.

CGE Photo Contest is internationally open and features four categories: photos taken in Evanston and outside of Evanston by 18 years of age and over and 18 years of age and under. There is a $15 USD entry fee per submission with a limit of 5 photos.
Contest Closing Date: May 20, 2011

Judging the photos will be Paul Clark, Photographer and Adjunct Instructor of Photography at the School of Art, Northern Illinois University; Chris Schneberger, Photographer, Teacher, and Founder of the Digital Arts and Photography Program at Lillstreet Art Center, teacher at the Evanston Art Center and Columbia College, Chicago; Paul Berlanga, Co-director and Exhibition Curator at Stephen Daiter Gallery, Chicago.
