Early Voting Runs through March 31
The Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center is a designated Early Voting site, located at 2100 Ridge Ave., Evanston. Hours are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Early Voting for the April 5, 2011 elections is open and runs through March 31, 2011. State law requires early voters to display valid identification to an election official before receiving a ballot to vote early. Remember to bring a government-issued photo ID such as a passport, driver’s license, or military ID. All Early Voting is conducted on touch screens.
Voters do not need to provide an excuse or reason why they cannot make it to the polls on Election Day. You need only to fill out an application at the Early Voting site.
Early Voting is conducted on touch screens that store every ballot style in the county, permitting any voter in suburban Cook to vote at any location. Your ballot will remain secret and securely stored. The names of the early voters are available to the public and are updated each day during early voting. Voters who participate in Early Voting must vote in person.
