State Rep. Biss Sponsoring Food Drive
State Representative Daniel Biss is sponsoring a food drive from now until April 1, 2011. Please donate non-perishable items and help those in need.
Items can be dropped off at the Representative's District Office located at 3706 Dempster St. in Skokie. For further information, call 847/568-1250.
FACT: A new study shows that nearly 678,000 Cook County residents visited food banks, soup kitchens and shelters in 2009. That's up 36% from the 499,600 residents who relied on emergency food assistance in 2006, when the last comprehensive study was conducted.
