Storm Leads to Lock Opening
Due to the heavy rain on Sunday, May 29, the locks in Wilmette were opened from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., releasing untreated water into Lake Michigan. Although Evanston's swimming beaches are not open for the season, the Dog Beach opened April 1. Updates will be posted as they become available.
