think GREEN.jpgThe City of Evanston’s Public Works Department launched the “Get Caught” program this May where the Sanitation Division goes out into the community to monitor waste streams to identify households that are thinking G.R.E.E.N. (Greater Recycling in Every Evanston Neighborhood).

Five residents were selected from each ward and ten businesses citywide for their efforts to recycle more and were sent a letter of appreciation along with a “green” token of appreciation. The “green” token for the month of May is a can crusher.

This city will continue to select winners each month through the program which is funded through the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program.
