you mentor.jpgDo you have an extra hour a week to help youth succeed? Consider becoming a Mentor at Y.O.U. They are looking for 40 mentors in 40 days; help make an impact, become a mentor.

Youth Organizations Umbrella (Y.O.U.) serves up to 600 Evanston youth annually through out of school time programming at five community based sites. Mentor Y.O.U.th is a site-based, one-on-one mentoring program that is designed to connect at-risk youth with positive community role models. Mentors are asked to donate one hour per week to participate in arts, culture, sports and recreation, academic enrichment, and life skills building activities with their mentees.

Youth and their mentors will meet once a week and participate in arts and cultural activities, sports and recreation, educational enrichment, and other fun activities. Each of Y.O.U. mentors will receive extensive training and support to develop the skills and tools they need to succeed.
