Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre Auditions October 1
Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre will hold auditions for Merry Kwanzaa from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1 at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St., Evanston. Merry Kwanzaa is award-winning playwright Gloria Bond Clunie’s play about four generations learning the meaning of love and unity and the power of faith.
The play will feature a multi-generational and multi-racial cast of Evanston residents. Those age 12 and older are invited to attend this open call. No appointments are necessary, but please bring a photo and a prepared monologue or poem. The play will be performed on Monday, December 26 at Fleetwood-Jourdain Center, 1655 Foster St. The rehearsal schedule will be posted at www.cityofevanston.org/fjtheatre.
