books.jpgEvanston Public Library patrons can now download free eBooks for their Kindle devices through My Media Mall. Thousands of titles are available to choose from in genres ranging from fiction, to non-fiction to classics. As of September 21, 2011, global digital distributor OverDrive made this change possible.

Anyone interested in downloading an eBook to their Kindle needs a valid Evanston Public Library card, an Amazon.com account, any generation Kindle as well as brief access to the internet to download or transfer an eBook.

Library goers can check out up to five eBooks at a time, and you can even set your own lending period, either 7 or 14 days. To make the borrowing process easier, there is no hassle to return an eBook to the library, they simply expire when your lending period has elapsed.

Searching for eBooks is as easy as visiting My Media Mall, entering the book title and downloading the book in the proper format. Kindle users can conduct and advanced search and limit results to Kindle appropriate formats to make their search quicker.

Take advantage of this opportunity and begin searching for your new eBooks today!
