Window Restoration Workshop Set for Oct. 1st

windows.jpgThe Evanston Preservation Commission and the Association for Preservation Technology Western Great Lakes Chapter are co-sponsoring an all day Window Restoration Workshop on Saturday, October 1, 2011.

Please join the Evanston Preservation Commission and the Association for Preservation Technology Western Great Lakes Chapter for a day of presentations on why and how to repair historic windows.

Speakers will focus on the benefits of window restoration, techniques used to evaluate and repair windows, and successful case studies. Attendees are welcome to attend both morning and afternoon sessions. The morning session will provide more overview of the issues and techniques involved and the afternnoon session will be focused towards technical issues for professionals.

This event will take place at the Civic Center, Parasol Room from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. There is also an opportunity to visit some sites and an actual window restoration shop. Best of all, the event is free! However, space is limited to 88 people.
