City Launches See-Click-Fix Mobile App

Posted on Thursday Oct 20, 2011

The City of Evanston recently adopted the use of a mobile application, See-Click-Fix, that allows residents to communicate with the city "on the fly" as they are out and about in the community. See-Click-Fix is an online tool that interfaces with smart phones and has Twitter and Facebook integration abilities to allow residents to connect with their local government to report non-emergency neighborhood issues. This could include pot holes, graffiti, non-functioning traffic signals, garbage dumping, fallen trees in the right-of-way, etc.

Currently the city has an account with See-Click-Fix and monitors the area’s postings to be reported to the appropriate staff for action by 3-1-1 Call Center staff and to follow up with the resident using the online tool.

The City of Evanston is implementing this at no cost additional cost as part of its efforts to reach out to residents in as many possible manners available, streamline communications with its residents and to further build its successful customer service operations.

The city adopted this as an easy piece of technology for residents who have smart phones to better communicate with the city and help point out issues that might exist in the community. Whether there is a traffic light out, graffiti on a wall or a new pothole in the road, residents can now easily report it.
