Condo Board Basics Seminar Set for Oct 20 in Rogers Park
Lakeside Community Development Corporation will be hosting a seminar for condominium owners entitled, "The 4 Cs: Association Board Basics." This is an introductory course to the concept of condominium ownership. It teaches the basic rights and responsibilities of condominium owners and how to build a sense of community, while establishing a consistent communication systems and avoiding conflict in a condominium association.
The seminar will cover the following topics: Understanding of Governing Documents; Basic of Board Operations; Establishing a Sense of Community; Explanation of Fair Housing Laws; Collection of Assessments; and Fiduciary Duty for Board Members.
To register, e-mail condo@lakesidecdc.org and the fee for the seminar is $25. The event is expected to last three hours, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 20. The seminar will take place at the Lakeside Community Development Corporation located at 6636 N. Clark St. in Chicago's Roger's Park neighborhood.
