Pet License Reminder: 2012 Applications Due by End of Year
The City of Evanston mailed out to residents 2012 Animal Registration forms with their 2012 Vehicle Sticker renewal forms this fall. Payment for 2012 Animal Registration should be made by the end of 2011. The City of Evanston pet license, for cats and dogs, is issued on a fiscal year basis. By City Ordinance, all dogs and cats are required to have pet licenses.
The biggest benefit of registering a pet with the City of Evanston is the increased chance of being reunited with your dog or cat, should it become lost. Applying for the license also serves as a reminder to renew your pet’s annual rabies vaccination, which could save your pet’s life. The annual cost is $10 if the pet is neutered and $15 if not neutered.
For their convenience, using the pre-printed form mailed to residents or the downloadable foam online here>>, they can now purchase a pet license through the mail. Please provide all the requested information on the application form, particularly a copy of your pet’s rabies vaccination certificate, and return both parts of your application form and remittance; Make any address changes directly on the form.
Completed application forms along with the Rabies Certifications and payment can either be mailed on brought to the City Collector’s Office at: 2100 Ridge Ave., Evanston, IL 60201.
If a resident does not own a pet, please place the Animal Registration form in your recycling bin.
