Every year, one individual and one arts organization of Evanston are recognized for their contributions to the community through demonstration of excellence in the arts. Recipients are selected from nominations from the public at large. The nominations for the 2011 award are due on January 9, 2012. Nomination forms are available online here; printed copies are available at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St., Evanston. To be mailed a form, please call 847-448-8260.

The 2011 Awards will be presented at the Annual State of the City Address and Mayor’s Award for the Arts Luncheon, scheduled to be held in early 2012. Last year's winners were Bill Campbell and the Evanston Children's Choir. First Bank & Trust was the recipient of the Evanston Arts Council's Arts & Business Committee's annual Leadership Award, which is presented at the same time as the Mayor's Award for the Arts.
