Eco Corner: Free Climate Change Symposium at NU to be held March 8

Posted on Thursday Feb 23, 2012

For the 3rd consecutive year, Northwestern University is hosting their annual Climate Change Symposium on March 8th at the McCormick Tribune Center in Evanston. The symposium runs from 9:15 am – 4:30 pm and is free and open to the public.

The goal of the Symposium is to help the members of the Northwestern, Evanston and Chicago-area communities sift through the often-conflicting accounts about climate change by hearing the latest information directly from researchers and professionals who are at the leading edge. The Symposium is sponsored by the Initiative for Sustainability and Energy at Northwestern (ISEN), the Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences, and the Program in Environmental Policy and Culture (EPC), with speakers addressing both the impacts of climate change and promising solutions. Specific information about climate change in action in Evanston will be presented at 2:00 pm.

The 2012 Northwestern Climate Change Symposium is a full-day event. Attendees are invited come and go throughout the day, as their schedules permit. More information about the Symposium and registration information is available on the ISEN’s website here>>>
