E.P.D. Traffic Enforcement Results for St. Patrick's Day Weekend
The Evanston Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement initiative targeting drivers under the influence and seat-belt violators. This initiative was supported through a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation's "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over," and the "Click it or Ticket" programs.
The following enforcement mission ran over the St. Patrick's Day weekend and resulted in the following arrests and citations:
Driving Under the Influence Arrests - 4
Warrant Arrests - 1
Speeding in Excess of Posted Limit - 7
Failure to Wear a Seatbelt - 12
No Motor Vehicle Insurance - 7
Driving on a Suspended Driver's License - 1
Driving with No Valid License - 1
Cannibas Ordinance Violation - 1
Operating a Cell Phone while Driving - 1
Other Miscellaneous Vehicle Code Violations - 26
Illegal Transportation of Open Alcohol - 1
