Evanston Police Investigate Double Shooting
Evanstron Police are investigating a double shooting that occurred at approximately 7:15PM on Sunday night, April 22nd, when police responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Lyons St. and Dodge Ave. One victim was located in the 1800 block of Lyons St. and a second was located in the 1600 block of Dodge Ave. It was learned that the second victim fled on foot to this location. The victims are a 21 year old male resident of Des Plaines who had been shot in the knee, that victim is currently in good condition at Evanston Hospital along with a second victim who was shot in the back. The second victim was a 20 year old male resident of Evanston and is currently in fair condition from his injuries at Evanston Hospital.
Police detectives are currently investigating the incident and determined that the incident was not a random act and the victims were known to the offender. At this time no one is in police custody. If further information develops a subsequent release of information will be distributed.
