Award-winning children's author and nature photographer Nic Bishop will showcase his work at the Evanston Public Library on Tuesday, April 24th at 7 p.m. (Community Meeting Room, first floor). Bishop will share how he captured his intimate photographs of frogs, lizards, butterflies, kangaroos and many other animals.

Bishop said, "It sounds like you are doing a lot to encourage wildlife at the library. The falcons must be happy to have a home there. Looking forward to my visit!"

Children's Library Assistant Martha Meyer said, "We are thrilled to offer Evanston kids a chance to meet Nic Bishop and learn what amazing things he's done to collect those fabulous photographs! My favorite is the glass frog where you can see the frog's insides through his skin--and all Nic's picture of the Kakapo, the large, flightless, nocturnal parrot of New Zealand!"

'A Visit with Nic Bishop' is made possible through the generous support of Foundation 65.
